I am a late 20something navigating the waters of infertility. My husband and I are several years into trying to grow our family, and without any formal diagnosis I've been told I have rotten eggs (luckily not in those exact words, I pay those doctors a lot). I love my dogs, traveling, laughing, and reading about health and egg quality/fertility in my spare time. Won't you join me on this journey?
Timeline of our journey
All the fun, nitty gritty stuff! Basically, 3 failed IUI's and 4 attempts at IVF with 2 cancellations and 2 retrievals of poor quality eggs.
HSG & 3 Clomid cycles with OB/GYN in 2012 - all BFN
November 2012 met with RE
2 rounds of IUI with Clomid, both BFN
January 2013: Benched for cysts
April 2013: Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy = mild endo and 2 polyps removed
November 2013: 1st IVF: gonal f/ganirelix: converted to IUI on CD 7 due to poor response, IUI #3 = BFN
January 2014: WTF Appointment: "stubborn ovaries" will need new med protocol: flare gonal f, add menopur and lupron
IVF #2 Feb 2014: MDL flare protocol with Gonal & Menopur; e2 6000, Retrieval: 34 R, 20M, 9 fert, 4 2PN's frozen. No blasts made to freeze :(
FET #1 June 2014 - 2dt, Transferred 2... BFN
WTF revealed very poor quality - looking to do another fresh cycle
August 2014: 2 polyps removed, revealed thru HSG
Updated labs: FSH 6.5 and AMH 4
October 2014: IVF #3: Stims started 10/14 - Cancelled due to premature luteinization (early increase in progesterone)
November 2014: IVF attempt #4: Rising progesterone levels again, spike in estrogen, even with increase lupron continuing with stims - trigger given early; ended up with 6 2PN embryos all frozen.
December 2014 WTF: Reveals some poor egg quality in this group. RE stumped on what's happening and why we can't control progesterone.
*We will proceed with Day3 FET in early 2015
Feel free to contact me with any questions! I'm always happy to discuss the details of protocols, diagnoses, etc.
